Chuck Pursell taught high school English and social studies at Lodi High School for ten years and worked in a similar teaching role at Waunakee Community High School for eight years.  He spent another seven years at Waunakee, four as Associate High School Principal, one as Interim Superintendent and two years as the Director of Instruction.  He was then selected as the superintendent in the School District of Lodi and served in that role for ten years.  In 2001, Chuck came to CESA 5 and served as curriculum consultant for two years.  The Waunakee Community School District approached Chuck and asked him to serve as an interim superintendent for one year.  He served that district for five years as superintendent.  He served CESA 5 as the Assistant Agency Administrator in the year that Don Stevens was “loaned’ to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.


He most recently served as Interim Superintendent for the School District of Lodi completing that assignment in June 2020.  Chuck is in his 50th year of service to public education.  He completed his undergraduate degree at UW-Platteville, his graduate degree at UW-Madison and has taught Educational Leadership classes for Cardinal Stritch University.  Chuck and his wife, Diane, currently reside in Middleton, WI.
